The staff are very friendly and willing to help, and this is good value for money if you need a place to stop for one night on the way somewhere. The linen felt soft and welcoming, and the place was so clean I could smell the disinfectant as soon as we walked in. That said, it needs a lot of repairs and upkeep. The owner should give it some TLC.

I had a horrible experience and was very disappointed. I’d booked well in advance and already paid, but when I arrived around 9 pm, they said the guest house was full and told me to go to another branch. I was travelling with my son. They gave me the numbers for both managers, Nonhlanhla and Sibongile, but neither answered despite several calls. Yet they would answer when their employees called. I ended up getting a room two hours later, after a big fight and insisting on seeing the owner. I’ve never seen such incompetence and poor customer service. If you want peace of mind, DO NOT BOOK AT SINTOKHA. You could be stranded and end up sleeping in the street.

There was no Wi-Fi, and after we said we were stepping out for a bit, we waited ages in the cold to be let back into the property. We were booked at a different location from the one we saw on bookings.com, which was inconvenient. It’s a beautiful place, and the stay was still good, but the customer service needs work.

The place is beautiful, spacious and clean, but the listing was misleading. The location changed, throwing off all our plans, and since we’d paid in advance we couldn’t change our minds. There was no Wi-Fi, and the check-in times shown on site had changed.
