The rooms are spacious and come with basic toiletries, tea, and coffee. The electric blanket was the thing I liked most, especially if it was cold. Awesome.

I paid top hotel prices for a horrible stay, on my birthday weekend when I’d been looking forward to relaxing. We were in room 6, and the staff woke us early both Saturday and Sunday, banging doors and shouting to each other. At 1am on Saturday night, there was banging on the floor above us. The place is on Parys’s busiest street, with trucks, taxis, and motorbikes going by around the clock. It may be handy if you want to walk everywhere, but sleeping was almost impossible. When we did get to sleep, staff woke us around 5 or 6am. There’s also an auction house across the street, and its Saturday morning music was so loud it felt like the band was right in front of our bed. The advertised double bed was actually two three-quarter beds pushed together, and the pillows were flat as pancakes. The water pressure was nonexistent on Saturday morning, so I had a freezing cold shower. The price is absurd for this place and should be a fraction of what it is. Don’t stay here, you’ll be sorry.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pluvio Geusthouse. The room was neat and clean when we arrived, and we’d happily come back. They were upgrading the guesthouse while we were there. Once that work is finished, I’d like to see a working kitchen where guests can have breakfast. Other than that, no complaints.

The view was incredible, and the staff made us feel very welcome. It was a next-level romantic stay and a great place to be. I’d come back when I get the chance. A real food lover would enjoy this place.
