Smugglers' Cottage

We booked the family room, and the bathroom in it was very small. Since the pool was right outside our door, we could hear and share everyone’s pool time and conversations. The room itself was comfortable, and so were the big shared spaces. Breakfasts were delicious, too. It’s a lovely little property.

We had another lovely festive-season stay at Smuggler’s. The beach is very close, while the spot just outside town gives you some peace and quiet. The rooms and staff were excellent, and the staff and owners made us feel so welcome. Loved every minute, and can’t wait to return!

We slept comfortably in the cosy bedrooms, which had all the essentials and a few thoughtful extras, like rechargeable lamps for loadshedding. Our family suite had a main bedroom, a second bedroom with twin beds, and a small ensuite overlooking the pool; it was connected to the main house lounge. The beds were super comfortable, and we had a good night's rest. Breakfast was included, tasty, and served by kind staff who went out of their way to look after us. Smugglers Cottage is a quaint BnB in beautiful Bek Bay, with kind, professional staff and the ever-helpful estate manager, Ansu. Money well spent, highly recommend.

It felt like a home away from home. There’s a cosy seating area with a fireplace, plus books and games to enjoy. The beach is an easy 3-minute walk away, and restaurants are also within walking distance. Breakfast was enjoyable, and I recommend staying here. We had a lovely stay and were lucky to meet the owner. She was really friendly, and her employees were just as friendly and professional.
