Gail and her husband made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. They're caring, attentive, and warm hosts, and the whole guesthouse has a peaceful, uplifting feel. Our room was spotless and stylish, and the food was outstanding. You can tell how much love and pride they put into everything. Our stay at Hamilton Urban Farm House was unforgettable and went beyond what we expected. Five stars hardly seems enough, and we'll always come back. If you're visiting Pietermaritzburg, this is the place to stay.

There's a good breakfast selection, the rates are great value, and the place is close to the highways. The rooms were clean and tidy, the beds were great, and the owner was caring and very friendly. I'd definitely stay again.

Choosing this place made me fall in love with my husband all over again. Of all the guesthouses I've stayed in, this was the best. Everything was so clean, from the floors and mirrors to the towels and bedding. The spacious shower had lovely hot water, and we slept comfortably under warm electric blankets. I highly recommend it.

The rooms were lovely, the host was great, and the Wi-Fi worked well. At night, the views over the Pietermaritzburg skyline were really nice.
