Bayview Hotel

Plett is a good location for the hotel, and the clothes washing was good value. The stay itself didn’t feel like a four-star experience, especially compared with the other hotels we used. The bathroom was dated and basic. The room was a decent size with a comfortable bed, but its balcony faced the road and wasn’t pleasant to sit on. The hotel felt busy, and the staff weren’t especially friendly. Breakfast could have had more continental choices. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night, and the food was adequate, though nothing special.

We had dinner at Adi's and the food, service, and whole experience were awesome. We stayed at the hotel about 3 years ago, and that was 100% amazing too.

From the Honeymoon Room and Family Room, the sunrise over the beach is stunning. The rooms are beautiful, the service is amazing, and I really enjoy eating at Adi's. The hotel sits on the main road through Plett, but the beach is still close, around a 20-30 minute walk.

We spent two nights here before heading back to Cape Town. The staff were helpful, our room was very clean and a decent size, and it had a balcony. Since it was our honeymoon, they left us a welcome gift, which made the stay very pleasant. Our room was above the restaurant, though, so there was noise in the mornings and evenings while it was open. The included breakfast was more limited than we expected: we could choose only certain menu items, and special coffee or extra drinks cost more. Knowing that beforehand, we would have skipped the breakfast option and ordered from the menu each morning.
