Francois and Marinda were such thoughtful, generous hosts and made us feel at home. Breakfast was lovely, and we could use the dining area to eat a takeaway if we wanted. The place is secure and comfortable, close to the town centre and an easy, safe walk even at night to some excellent restaurants. Highly recommend staying here.

Francois and Marinda made our time in Plettenberg Bay so memorable. They were the sweetest hosts. The room was tidy, and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed. There’s secure parking and a shared dining area with a microwave and utensils for cooking your own food. Breakfast was very good too.

The view over the city and beach was lovely, and every part of the accommodation had thoughtful details and everything we could want. Breakfast was perfect, with each dish served so carefully. Marinda and Francois are both wonderful people who looked after us in every way. We spent two happy nights at Franmarel, felt at home from the warm welcome to the farewell, and will definitely return. All the best to our hosts. Leonie and Martin

We wish we could have stayed longer at Franmarel. Marinda and Francois put so much care into making guests comfortable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was made with love, and the deck looking out toward the lagoon and ocean was beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful experience and for the tips on places to visit around the Western Cape.
