Milkwood Manor

The welcome was lovely: the staff were really sweet and gave us sparkling wine for our honeymoon, even though we were only there for one night. It’s a beautiful hotel right on the beach. For the price, though, several things in our room fell short. It was dark with no view, unless you pay extra for a second-floor room facing the sea. A loud fridge beside the bed kept waking us, the safe didn’t work, and the bedside lamps had unpleasant cold light that could probably be fixed with warmer bulbs. I’ll review the restaurant on its own page. In short, it wasn’t great. Breakfast tasted fine, but it took a long time because there’s no buffet and both the servers and kitchen were slow. Don’t expect a quick meal. They also got our order wrong.

We came out to our car in its protected parking space and were surprised to find it had been cleaned outside. That was a lovely extra. The staff at Milkwood Manor were always helpful, super nice and polite. Our room was spacious, with a big bathroom and a sea-view balcony, depending on which room you book. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel is right by the sea. Definitely recommend it.

Everyone was so nice and helpful, especially the lady at the entrance. The rooms were pretty and wonderful, with an amazing view, and the place is right next to the beach. Such a pity we only got one night there, but we’ll come back for more.

The service was superb, with staff going out of their way for us. They checked with a local tour operator and made a reservation, served breakfast outside the usual hours, and even surprised us with a wash for our very dirty car. The room was clean and nice, with a good shower. Great location by the beach and close to the center. Definitely five stars!
