The location is great, but the property was poorly managed. After a long drive from jhb, the geyser was off and I had to wait to shower. The fibre wasn't working, and the garage remote didn't work either, adding another hassle. Once payment is made, they don't seem to care or prepare the unit. I wouldn't recommend it.
I had a pleasant one night at Summer Hill. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the apartment was amazingly clean, and the building and car parking felt very safe. The views are breathtaking if your windows face the sea. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO STAY FOR A FEW NIGHTS !!🌊☀️
Summerhill Holiday Accommodation, Unit Number 302 has a beautiful view and could work for a short retreat. But our hope for a quiet stay was badly disrupted by a noisy family in a nearby unit. They talked and shouted late into the night, then started again early in the morning, including moving furniture at 6:25 am. It seemed normal for these permanent residents, who showed little regard for other guests' comfort or sleep. I would hesitate to recommend the property for a peaceful weekend or holiday. If quiet matters to you, it may be worth paying a bit more for a B&B where noise is less likely to be a problem.
The view was nice, and there was secure off street parking with easy predestination access to the main road. At night, though, lights from nearby buildings were a bit bright. The shower over the bath was awkward, and there was excessive body corporate singage in the building.
The view was beautiful, and the house was bigger than we expected. Parking was safe, with cctv cameras, and the place was gated in.
