We had a gorgeous suite right beside the pool, with a very comfortable large bed. The ceiling fan kept the room cool enough by day and night, even without air conditioning. The villa has a lovely private garden, a good-sized pool, and several furnished terrace lounges shaded by parasols. It's in a pleasant residential suburb overlooking Plettenberg and the bay, about 2 km from the seafront. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with daily specials. Pam, the manager, was friendly, chatty, and entertaining, and helped arrange restaurant and sightseeing bookings. The staff were lovely too. There's gated remote access and ample parking. We're looking forward to coming back soon. Highly recommend.

The garden and pool gave us plenty of room to unwind between trips around town, and the guest house is modern. Loretta and Jabu made our stay special. Loretta, the Italian owner, is passionate about hosting and makes sure your needs are taken care of. She's also enthusiastic about Plettenberg Bay and nearby areas, and helped us choose places for drinks and meals, as well as attractions we might enjoy. Breakfast, with a cold buffet and a hot a la carte option, was tasty and set us up for the day. Most attractions are close by. With so many places to stay in this popular tourist destination, Vilacqua is a choice you won't regret.
