The staff were especially thoughtful with our little one, preparing a camp cot that made things much easier and more relaxing for us. From arrival, we felt at home, and every detail seemed handled with care. The rooms were spotless, beautiful, and well maintained, with breathtaking views. Everything was clean, comfortable, and arranged nicely for a family stay. Umtamvuna View Cabanas gave me and my little family a holiday to remember. We’re very grateful and would highly recommend it for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway.

Garry, the host and owner, and Tiffany went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The self-catering cottage/cabana was well equipped, with everything needed to feel at home and some luxury too. It’s a wonderful place to relax and rest, with an extraordinary view and such a peaceful, quiet setting.

Gary and his family gave us a great welcome and were excellent hosts. The place was tidy, comfortable, and well organised. Perfect stay, and highly recommended if you’re visiting the area.

The surroundings are very quiet and peaceful, with good views, but getting there was rough. After turning off the main road, you hit a taxi rank area and lots of potholes. There’s also a one-kilometre corrugated road, so use a high-clearance vehicle or risk damaging the oil sump. The venue isn’t wheelchair friendly, and you have to take a winding staircase to reach the accommodation. Parking is just a marked open bay, and there’s no staff to help with luggage. The room was clean, as were the shower and toilet, but it had a strong musty, chemical smell that took a lot of airing out. There’s a pool and braai area, though you need to manage steps to get there. Buy any supplies before checking in.
