We enjoyed our week's stay in this lovely house, with its beautiful view and great location, but we were robbed on the first night, 2nd December 2025. We were told not to set the alarm. The lounge doors could be opened from inside with wire, and all our cell phones and laptops were stolen. Owner Ann said she had put in a claim with outsurance. As of 22nd January 2026, we're still waiting for the insurance payout. Ann ignores every way we try to contact her. She also promised us a Takealot voucher, but hasn't followed through. This is totally wrong and unprofessional. It wasn't our fault, and this isn't how guests should be treated. Step up, Ann, own up, and reply to the messages and calls.

We saw whales and dolphins just offshore, with incredible sea views. It was an awesome experience. The spacious home has three bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, and is self catering with daily housekeeping. Pets are welcome.

The beach is close, though it isn't designated for safe swimming because there are no lifeguards. Shelly beach mall is about 7kms away. The house has three ensuite bedrooms and a large porch, and it's lovely, but it wasn't very clean. The live-in domestic worker would walk in without knocking or saying she was coming in. She even came in while I was using the bathroom with the door closed, taking away my basic privacy. That's the main reason I wouldn't use The Holiday Home on the Beach again.
