Postmasburg Inn

This was an awful place to try to sleep. The bathroom was filthy and the beds felt like rocks. Noise from the tavern about 100 meters away kept us up, and heavy trucks use the main road, with a truck stop roughly 200 meters from the rooms. The area also has serious crime, so it didn't feel safe. Sleeping in the car might be better.

The restaurant had a different feel, which was a welcome change in such a dull area, and I was impressed on my first couple of visits. But adding R30-00 to every item is ridiculous and feels like a rip-off. The prices are unreasonable and unjustified, so they've lost me as a regular and I wouldn't recommend the place. I guess driving 80km to and from Kathu isn't such a bad option anymore.

Please take the rating in context. We booked the business or conference room for an event and had meals for the day. The hosts managed everything wonderfully, with snacks, tea, coffee, sandwiches, and a nice hot lunch. The venue was clean and warm thanks to the air conditioning, and the staff were polite. Thanks, Postmasburg Inn.

The bedding and towels were clean, but the rooms smelled and hygiene overall was poor. The place also feels low quality, so I wouldn't recommend it for business people.
