Elizabeth's Manor felt so much like home, thanks to the owner, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was awesome, and all the food was delicious. We’ll definitely come back whenever we're in Potchefstroom. Thanks!

I stay here regularly for business, and it feels like a home away from home. It’s comfortable, has an upper class feel, and the attention to detail is lovely. Bella and the other ladies are polite, and they do a fantastic job. It’s easy to find and central to everything in Potch. I really love this guesthouse.

We paid R5400 for 3 rooms for 5 people for 2 nights, on 25 and 26 Aug 2017, and the stay was deeply disappointing. The web listing gave a misleading impression. None of the rooms had a minibar or slippers, and the Wi-Fi barely worked, with far more time disconnected than connected and virtually no signal. One room was missing the two drinking glasses found in each of the other two, and at least one room had no rooibos tea sachets, though there were plenty in the central dining room. When the patio sprinklers came on, they soaked your lower legs if you sat at the large garden table. That table also had bird droppings on it, so it wasn't inviting. Service wasn't great either. At breakfast, the poached eggs looked microwaved, full of bubbles and not soft. We ordered fried eggs, soft and sunny side up, but didn't get them that way. The coffee machine in the central dining room didn't produce the temperature or volume it was designed for and probably needed decalcifying. In our room, one curtain pelmet was badly crooked, as if it might fall at any moment. The muffins were okay, but I won't stay here again.
