Desert Oasis Lodge

The owner needs to take responsibility for what's going on. When you raise something with the receptionist, they just say they're at work and there's nothing they can do. Everything is all over the place.

The rooms are basic, but fine for what they cost, and the service was good. It's easy to find, close to the road. The only real downside was noisy guests.

It's an affordable place, with friendly staff who are always willing to go the extra mile. Security is 100%, the bedding and cleanliness are okay, and the WiFi is excellent. I'm happy with the service I received overall. A few things could improve: the TV should at least have SABC channels, the rooms need painting, and there should be a glass in the room for brushing your teeth, in keeping with Going Green.

My stay was horrible. The rooms are old and damaged, and one had no TV. I was told it had been stolen. There was no hot water when I arrived, and when I asked the security guard, he rudely said I didn't know how to use a tap. The room had an AC but no remote, and nobody seemed to know anything when I asked about it. Towels required a deposit, and what I got looked like hardware rags. I wouldn't use them even for my dogs. The security guard seemed more interested in watching soccer on TV than opening the gate. I felt like I should bathe in Detol after leaving. Stay away and pay more.
