We spent seven nights here and had such a great time. The views are incredible, and the guesthouse felt very secure, so we never worried about safety. Everyone was warm and made us feel at home. Our daughter especially loved Rosie, one of the dogs. Thanks for looking after us so well. We’ll book again next time we’re in Pretoria. Mont Paradisio was a lovely place to stay while travelling for work. The owners took a real personal interest and made me feel welcome, and I appreciated the delicious home-cooked meals each morning and evening. My room was pleasant and very clean, and the view from the property is outstanding. It’s also wonderfully peaceful at night. Getting up the hill is a quaint little drive, with a spectacular view waiting at the top. I highly recommend this guest house.

I don’t think this place deserves a four-star rating. The reception staff weren’t friendly, and getting a shower was a long wait because the water stayed cold or took ages to heat up. On my first day, friends helped me unpack, then reception called to say I had to pay for an extra person because the room was booked for one, even though my friends weren’t staying overnight. The tourism grading should come back and reassess the stars.

The natural scenery is beautiful, and it’s a great spot to escape and unwind. Dance Mouse classes are held at their studio on Fridays from 2pm-4pm and Saturdays from 9am-11am.

When we want to break out of our routine and bring back a bit of romance, this is our home away from home. The rooms have lovely decor, and the food is prepared with real care. Up high on the mountain, you get that natural feel while the city’s hustle and bustle stays in the distance. It’s easy to relax and feel recharged here before heading back to everyday life. A must for a spontaneous getaway.
