The garden is a lovely place to slow down, with a gazebo among the flowers, BBQ smells in the air, and birdsong under the leafy shade. There’s garden furniture around too, so it’s easy to sit and enjoy the breeze. Schoongesicht Guest House in Erasmus Rand has spacious, clean, bright rooms, and the staff are warm and helpful. The place feels peaceful and welcoming. Breakfast is a real highlight, the buffet is fresh and filling, and you can tell guests are well looked after. If you're in Pretoria East and want somewhere with charm, this guest house is a lovely choice.

I've stayed here three years in a row, and this was my third visit. The breakfast is always good and filling, and the cleaning ladies and caretakers deserve a lot of credit for looking after guests so kindly. The rooms are clean and nice, with enough space for the number of people they sleep. The braai area and outdoor spaces are peaceful, though the highway right by the boundary wall brings car and truck noise. If you can tune that out, you'll enjoy it. I'd come back every time.

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse and conference centre. The peaceful surroundings made it a nice setting for both work and leisure, and the modern, spacious conference facilities worked well for professional events, with excellent catering and technical support available. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped, and the friendly staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I’d highly recommend it for good accommodation and event services.

When my husband was admitted to Kloof Hospital, I was going through a very difficult time. The manageress at Schoongezicht welcomed me kindly, even late on Sunday night, and made me feel cared for and at home. Her compassion and readiness to help meant so much. Schoongezicht is lucky to have someone so dedicated and empathetic. Thank you, Suegne 💙
