After church I had a meal at the restaurant on the property, though I didn't visit the lodge itself. The food and service were great, and I loved the location. The animals are so cute, and there's plenty of safe space for kids to play. I'd like to stay there sometime if I could.

The gardens were lovely and well kept, with ducks and other birds around too. Breakfast was delicious and the service spot on. Our spacious room had a stocked bar fridge, which was a real bonus when you fancy a Coke at 9pm. It was our first time at Sherewood Lodge, and the whole team made us feel welcome. We also loved meeting the dogs, Sebastian and Jock. Jock, the JR, was such a cutie and slept with us. We bought some frozen meals and tried the chicken, lime & feta pie today. Delicious.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite after our wedding, and the room was magnificent, comfortable, and very well looked after. The scenery around Sherwood lodge was beautiful and peaceful. At breakfast the next morning, the waiter served us in Afrikaans, and the service was excellent. The drinks and food were all delicious, with generous portions. Such a lovely stay, we'd happily return if we need to.

A quiet, beautiful spot, yet still near all the activity of Pretoria city.

The place was beautiful for the funeral we attended, but the road leading there is awful.
