The caretakers are really sweet, but management is awful. I spent months in a room with mould and rats before being moved. The new room had no mould, but the rats and cockroaches were still there. The bathrooms have no ventilation and, honestly, don’t seem up to code. The landlord only seems to care about money, and people here are inconsiderate. If you care about yourself, don’t live here unless you’re truly desperate.

The rooms are cramped, and the showers are in shocking condition. They get dirty and sometimes clog, with plenty more problems besides. The photos look nothing like the place now. They seem to be old pictures from when the accommodation was actually in good shape. There’s no biometric entry system, despite what the contract said, and security and management are both terrible. The office lady is rude and doesn’t know how to talk to people. I didn’t enjoy my stay, and I really disliked how the current lady spoke to parents. The previous woman in the office was much better and cared about the students. The place clearly isn’t being maintained properly.

I put up with the place for a while because it was quiet, in a nice area, and convenient. But the inside was poorly maintained, with water damaged walls, an unfinished, dirty bathroom, and mould. Then they wanted to extend my lease and raise the rent, so I moved out. I’ve been trying to get my deposit back for over two months and haven’t had a response or any respect from them. I’ll take the matter to the Housing Tribunal. I think the owner, Mr Beath, as his employees casually call him, does this to tenants’ deposits. He doesn’t keep them in the safe account required by law for the deposit to earn interest, and he also seems reluctant to return the money. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Be careful about whose contract you sign, since not everyone has tenants’ best interests at heart.

The room was filthy, with holes in the walls and floor. The curtains wouldn’t shut, the shower was falling apart and spraying water everywhere, and the bed was less comfortable than the tiled floor. When I called the managers, they apologized but did nothing else. The photos don’t come close to showing what the rooms are actually like. This is nowhere near a three star place, and among the worst accommodation around. Don’t waste your time or money, go elsewhere.
