Nyathi Lodge

Nyathi Lodge in Richards Bay gave me one of my best stays. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the bar had all the basic options. The property is lovely and close to the airport. The rooms were spacious, very clean and well organised, with the equipment a traveller would need. Everything provided in the rooms worked properly. The staff were courteous and hardworking, and clearly played a part in keeping things so clean.

Staying here was the best decision I could’ve made. As a solo traveller, I felt safe, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Being so close to the richard bay airport made getting there easy, without having to worry about the timing. Breakfast was good too. I’d definitely stay again if I return to richard bay. I miss their dogs, Euro & Rocky!!

We stayed at their lodge down the road, not the main one, for a weekend with friends and had a good time. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the facilities and amenities were clean and up to standard. There aren’t many activities on site, though there are things to do nearby. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, and the bar was sufficient. The bathroom door was broken, the water pressure was too low, and there was no hot shower water on the first night or the following morning. I mentioned it to reception, and it was fixed the next day. I’d recommend staying here for the value.

I work all over SA, but nowhere has felt as much like home as Inyathi Lodge. I’ve spent the past two weeks here, and it’s been a wonderful experience. The place is peaceful and relaxed, simple but luxurious, and the people are genuinely friendly. I can’t help loving it. It deserves way more than five stars.
