At The View B&B

The cat really worried me because we’re both allergic to cat fur. Our health mattered more than anything, so we left after one night instead of staying the seven we’d booked, and got out of the country ASAP. The place is advertised as pet friendly, but it should clearly say there are pets indoors. The room was freezing, the bedding had other people’s hair on it, and there was no privacy because the room was inside the main room. We could hear footsteps and voices. They say toiletries are provided, but maybe that means just tissues. The soap dispenser was completely dry, and the toilet wouldn’t flush, so I had to use a bin to flush my waste. We left before things could get catastrophic. Out of ten I’d rate the place two. As a business, don’t you think you should give us a discount? Good luck with the business.

The breakfast dishes were delicious, and the couple Christa and Baart were cheerful, friendly, open minded, and always happy. The other friends we met there were welcoming and full of energy too. What a beautiful, wonderful place to be. I’d like to go back next time.

I paid for a week, but work requirements meant I had to leave after one evening. The host wouldn’t consider a refund when I explained I’d been called away for a work emergency, so I lost four nights’ accommodation fees. The room had no towels, the bin was full of waste, and I don’t think the bed had fresh sheets. The breakfast was so salty it couldn’t be eaten. When I complained about the room to the lady at the house, she said it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest, which confirmed my suspicion about the bedding. I’d be embarrassed to see this place listed on booking sites. I can’t believe anyone rates it highly. The facility and their behavior were absolutely disgusting.

Christa and Bart welcomed us warmly, and they’re excellent hosts. The property is clean, neat, and nicely decorated. Christa even gave up sleep to get up early and make breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again.
