Blueberry Hill Hotel

I chose Blueberry Hill Hotel as the place to ask my girlfriend to marry me, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. It was a wonderful experience and a beautiful memory we’ll carry with us for the rest of our lives.

I was remembering my birthday experience last year and the awful service when I tried to take pictures with my loved ones. I emailed Blueberry but never received a response, so I’m leaving this here and hope things have improved since my interaction with Ashley. My email said: "Hi Blueberry, I visited Blueberry hotel on the 25th of July 2025, and it was a lovely birthday at first. The security guard at the gate, Jason at the parking lot, and our waiter all welcomed us warmly. We enjoyed our meals, and someone sang that song special for me. Then Ashley at reception spoke to us rudely and said we weren’t supposed to take pictures there. I was taking mirror pictures with my loved ones, and he told me, ‘you have one picture that is left for you to take’. I was confused, so I went to ask what he meant. He said pictures aren’t allowed because people pay to take pictures there. It was disappointing to learn that at the end of such a special day. The way he spoke to us was embarrassing, and I didn’t feel he showed us any respect. I hope Ashley is taught how to speak to customers respectfully. If you have to pay to take pictures by the reception mirror, perhaps put up a notice so people know beforehand. We’re grateful to the waiters and the rest of the team for the lovely evening and the service they gave us. I wish Ashley hadn’t spoken to us, because we ended the day feeling low because of him."

Christmas lunch at Blueberry Hill Hotel was the most memorable one our family has ever had. From the front desk onward, everyone was genuinely warm, eager to help, and took care with each request. Coming out of the elevator, we were met by beautiful festive decorations and an elegant hostess, with impressive attention to detail throughout. The menu had a thoughtful range of choices. I ordered the duck, which was cooked perfectly, and each course showed real care in both quality and presentation. Sipho, our waiter, was attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. His humour and easy elegance added to the meal, and he made sure everyone’s choices were handled carefully. The support staff worked smoothly behind the scenes, with great timing between courses. Blue Berry Hill Hotel has a way of making you feel like family. We’ll treasure the experience and return gladly. We highly recommend it, with five-star service in every sense.

Walking in turned out to be much cheaper than some of the higher prices I saw online. I’d still recommend the place, but the room I’m in needs a lot of work. The finishings and maintenance aren’t hotel level and leave plenty to be desired. Apart from that, it’s great.
