I checked in on the 27th and reluctantly took the room with two single beds. I went for dinner after 20:00, before the 21:00 deadline, but the food was already gone. The receptionist, Itumeleng or something like that, wrote me a voucher for a restaurant at Waterfal Mall without much concern. Two of the restaurants were closed, and she hadn’t warned me. When I came back hungry and explained, she was hostile and blamed me for not finding a particular place I didn’t know how to locate. I wasn’t willing to go out in Rustenburg that late, so I went to bed without eating. Why prepare so little food, then hand out vouchers for places that are closed without telling guests? The front desk needs work. I’ll never stay here again. Very insensitive and unwelcoming.

The aircon didn’t work, even though the place was humid already. Breakfast was ordinary, with too few tables and seats, so you had to queue for a turn. The plates smelled of eggs, and the glasses smelled too. We waited while the food was still being prepared. There were no ice cubes or bucket, no bar fridge and no room phone. A terrible place to spend the end of 2025 and start of 2026.

The booking site photos didn’t match what we found in the room. There was a bedsheet, a yellowish blanket and another sheet, but no duvets. No refreshments were provided, so we had to cross the road to the garage for them. For what it costs, I expected better quality.

The venue is easy to get to, the staff were friendly, and it looks pleasing. I even saw Mr Marks Maponyane 🥰🥳🥳. But the room carpet stank, I had to ask for the table to be cleared and it still wasn’t wiped. Breakfast wasn’t replenished quickly, and the coffee machine seemed broken because the drink was cold.

The rooms were really clean and cozy, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the front desk service was great.
