We were three couples from Germany and spent two nights at Valley View Lodge with Alfred in October. The suites were very clean, and breakfast was the best, with scrambled eggs and fresh fruit. We had the best coffee of our South Africa trip there. Alfred was a great host and gave us very good restaurant and sightseeing tips. It's a good place to stop on the way from Jo`burg to Kruger if you're taking the panoramic route.

The view is spectacular, and the people and staff are so friendly. It’s a lively, warm, beautiful place in a beautiful town. Everything felt perfect, and I’m definitely coming back! 😱

The host was very friendly, and the house is solidly built. It’s in an old-fashioned condition, though. Our basic room was in the basement and had a very bad smell.
