Mananga Private Bush Retreat

Otherwise, this would be an ideal place for a week near Kruger Gate. The house is spacious and tastefully furnished, with good beds and everything needed for self-catering. But the roof noise ruined much of our five-day stay, when we needed some peace. There’s a zinc roof with a solar-panel structure on top, and it groans and creaks across the whole place. At first we thought monkeys might be playing tennis with big stone pebbles up there, but there wasn’t an animal in sight. It’s worse at night, during contraction, and doesn’t sound like one cat wandering over the roof. An afternoon nap or a good night’s sleep was almost impossible. The owner should get it checked urgently. Such a good place otherwise.

Heaven! The villa’s layout, generous spaces and interior design are breathtaking. It has everything you could need for a Kruger stay, and the wifi brings it into the 21st century. I don’t want to leave!

Mananga is private, with the whole area to yourselves, so it’s great for families or a group of friends. The kitchen is fully equipped and the braai area makes a holiday hassle-free. The staff are friendly and helpful, too. Highly recommend it, and can’t wait to go back!
