From our first visit in April, we felt Dune Ridge Country House would be just right for our wedding with family and friends. The setting and decorated spaces made the celebration feel magical, and the team made planning our 'local' destination wedding smooth and stress-free. A big thank you to Tam, Sarah, and everyone there. The staff were friendly and attentive, and made our guests feel at home. The food was incredible. Every dish was delicious, and our guests kept talking about it. It’s been ages since we’ve eaten so well. The care from the staff was excellent from the time I arrived until I left. The place itself is beautiful, and it was such a lovely stay. I’ll recommend this real country gem to lots of people. When I asked about spa treatments, they said I could request anything I wanted even if it wasn’t on the spa list. That accommodating approach felt personal, unlike places that won’t budge at all. The food was delicious and tailored to what I like, with the cook going out of their way to make my preferred homemade meals each day. The greens, herbs and tomatoes from their own garden were lovely. Homemade rusks in the room, fresh plants in water vases in the bedroom and bathroom, and handmade bath salts all added to the experience. This is an exceptional, traditionally styled colonial oasis in St Francis. I can’t wait to return.

Incredible rooms, delicious meals and a fabulous massage, all after a really warm welcome. What a place. Every moment was unforgettable during our one-night stop in the middle of the Chokka Trail excursion.

The stay was perfect, with fresh flowers in several places and care in all the details. The welcome was so warm, and we were pampered like never before. We hadn’t asked for lunch, but the team still arranged a last-minute three-course meal when we arrived, and it was delicious. Breakfast and dinner were just as good, all fresh, homemade and right to our taste. The cooking was high quality. We’ve been impressed during our time in SA, but this exceeded every expectation. We’ll remember our stay for the rest of our lives.
