The location by Sandton Mall was the only good point. There were no phones in the rooms, and WhatsApp was the only way to contact anyone, but messages were checked arbitrarily. Every electrical outlet was broken except one. The safe only worked after multiple tries, and its battery case cover was missing. They say their water is filtered, so there was no bottled water. Early or late check-in and check-out are charged by the hour, at nearly the daily rate. I moved to another room, but many of the same problems were there. Be selective, the rates and ratings are deceiving. There are much better nearby places for only a little more per night.

We've stayed at this hotel several times, mostly because it's so convenient for events at Sandton Square. This is a late review, but better late than never. Parking is secure, with plenty of space, which gives peace of mind. The rooms aren't spacious, though they're fine for a comfortable night's sleep and have a proper shower. The TV channel selection is limited and could be better, and the nearby convenience store is extremely expensive. Breakfast was a letdown for the room price. There wasn't much variety, and I thought some items were overcooked. On our latest stay, the man who checked us in came across as unprofessional and rather rude, making us feel unwelcome. That surprised us because our earlier stays had been much more pleasant.

Getting around was easy: the mall is right nearby, secure parking is available, and public transport, including the Gautrain station with routes from Jo'burg to PTA, is within walking distance. The rooms were clean, well kept, and at the temperature we wanted. The staff were especially well coordinated.

We tried the breakfast buffet, but it felt overpriced. The room was cramped, the food was greasy, and there wasn't much choice. Refills took a while, tables weren't cleared quickly, and there were no food labels. I wouldn't recommend it.
