We checked out this morning. The service was excellent, and all the staff were friendly and willing to help. Mavuso was great, Jessica helped me book on the website before I arrived, and the kitchen staff were awesome. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was good. My concern is cleanliness. Our room wasn’t cleaned until around 13h00, long after breakfast. Plates stayed in the passage for a long time, the carpets, especially on the staircase, weren’t very clean, and the terrace tables took too long to be cleaned. It seemed like there might not be enough staff. They could do better with keeping the hotel clean. Still, I wouldn’t mind coming back.

The location is great, within walking distance of Nelson Mandela Square, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. For the price, you can find an alternative, as the hotel falls well below what I expect from a 4-star property. Even getting an iron and board in the room meant calling housekeeping and waiting over an hour, although most 4-star hotels have these in the room. The service and cleanliness were disappointing, especially the carpets in the rooms and corridors.

The room was immaculately clean, the breakfast was good, and the food was great. Staff were super helpful and friendly, and I felt welcomed into someone’s home. Whether the location suits you depends on your needs. Excellent job!

We had a great evening, thanks in part to our waiter, Vuyo, whose friendly service made it even more enjoyable. Chef Kensani deserves compliments for the attention to detail and talent behind each flavourful, perfectly prepared dish. The restaurant exceeded all expectations, and the whole team was welcoming and professional. The complimentary shuttle to the Gautrain station was a thoughtful, convenient extra. Highly recommended for great food and genuine hospitality.
