Karen and Jurgens were fantastic hosts, from the warm greeting when we arrived right through to goodbye. We spent three wonderful nights in the main room last week, with amazing views out to sea. If you're in the area, this B&B is a must. We'd happily stay again when we're back in South Africa.

We could have stayed longer. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, and sitting on the balcony for hours to watch the sunset and a school of dolphins in the waves below was a highlight. Karen and Jurgens are great hosts, and breakfast was excellent. Dover on Sea is a real gem in the heart of Garden Route. Do yourself a favor and book a few nights. 😀

The sunset over the ocean was beautiful, and we fell in love with the view from the large balcony facing the sea. We stayed just one night as part of our South Africa Garden Tour, and the lovely hosts kindly put us in what I believe was their luxe suite. The room was brilliant: a heated, comfy bed, fluffy bathrobes, little coffee and cookie treats, and an indoor deck for looking at the ocean from the warmth of the room. Breakfast the next morning had both continental and British-style hot options and was excellent. Such an impressive hotel, though we only had one day there. We'd love to come back.

We only booked two nights, which was the one disappointment. The location and views are incredible, and having a beer or glass of wine while watching the sun go down is fabulous. Lovely rooms, great hosts, and a perfect breakfast.

We were lucky enough to spend our honeymoon night at Dover On Sea. The 180° sea view is breathtaking, and you can see it from the rooms too. It feels homely yet eloquent, and every little detail has been thought through. Breakfast was divine, with a full buffet spread. Jurgens and Karen, thanks for making it so memorable.
