Breakfast was really good, and the bedrooms were so clean. The friendly, kind staff made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. I loved everything about this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting George.

Breakfast was delicious every morning, especially with the homemade preserves. We also appreciated the unexpected extras, like bottled water each morning and tasty home-baked rusks. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and made a point of checking that guests were enjoying their stay. We had an amazing time and would definitely stay again.

The kids made good use of the pool, and we found the property clean, safe, and well cared for. Cleopatra did a great job checking that we were comfortable and had what we needed. Our family unit had a kitchen, lounge, dining area, two large double bedrooms, a small single room, and two bathrooms. It was self-catering, with thoughtful extras like tissues, shower wash, shampoo, tea, coffee, and homemade rusks. They cleaned every day, too. Other rooms are mostly bedrooms with bathrooms, while breakfast is served in the dining room and dinner can be arranged. There’s also a pub across the road serving meals. We had a really enjoyable stay at Pelican Lodge and would happily recommend it.

The owners made my stay feel more like a visit to their home than a lodge. They were warm, genuinely caring, easy to reach, and happy to offer local suggestions. I stayed in Deluxe King Room 8 from August 23 to 31. It was roomy, nicely equipped, and kept immaculate, with a very comfortable king bed. The calm atmosphere was just right for unwinding after long days, and the little details in the room were much appreciated. Pelican Lodge has comfort and charm as well as wonderful hospitality. I’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone coming to the area.
