The garden is wonderfully peaceful, with beautiful views and little tortoises that regularly come by to check on the guests. Villa Tartaruga is a lovely, tranquil destination for a holiday or business trip, and the hosts are remarkable. Their friendly, helpful approach makes a stay so much more memorable. There’s so much to experience along the Garden Route that you’ll want to book ahead and come back a few times to enjoy this wonderful part of South Africa.

I loved the roomy, spotless rooms and how welcoming the owners were. From the outdoor kitchen, you can look over the garden, cook, and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down. Sedgefield is a little gem on the Garden Route, and I’d happily return to Villa Tartaruga. I can definitely recommend it.

We’ll be back as soon as we can. The hosts were friendly and really helpful, and the villa is close to Cola beach. Everything felt new and clean, from the large rooms with their own bathrooms to the fully equipped outdoor kitchen. Sedgefield is a paradise, and we had a great stay.
