Rosemary was there to meet us when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. Our room was spacious, bright, clean and comfortable, and we had a beautiful view from the deck. We could also use the swimming pool. Fabulous accommodation, and I'd happily recommend it.

We didn't stay at the lodge, but live three houses down the road. The past weekend was horrible for us as neighbours. Guests were rowdy, with loud music, drinking and swearing for three days straight, until 3 am, then starting again early in the morning. That kind of behaviour goes against what people enjoy about Southbroom. I hope the owners address these guests' uneducated and disrespectful behaviour.

The verandah views are amazing, and the house feels really comfortable and cosy. Laughing gecko is a quaint, quirky place with a homely feel, just minutes from the beach. There's also a resident cat called Sam.

Our rooms were very neat and comfortable. The owner moved us into a larger room so our two Yorkies could fit. Thank you VERY much, Sam, for such a lovely stay! 😁👌👌
