We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, which was huge, with his and hers showers and sinks, a bath, and plenty of wardrobe space. The Plum Suites are newly built, nicely decorated and more private than the Vineyard Suites. I spent the night before the wedding in one and it was perfect. We got married at Brenaissance Wine & Stud Estate in February 2026, and having the whole property for us and our wedding guests made it feel incredibly special. We loved the pool and the beautiful setting, especially for watching the sunset. René and her team took great care of everyone. They arranged early check-ins, handled breakfast dietary needs and even bought extra linen so guests would be comfortable. It made a real difference having everyone on site for the big day. The estate is about a seven minute Uber ride from Stellenbosch, but far enough from the busy streets to feel peaceful. At night we could hear crickets and see a sky full of stars. There was no restaurant on site during our stay, which we actually liked because everyone there was part of our wedding party and the place felt private. An on site restaurant is being built near the car park and should be finished later this year, away from the accommodation and event spaces. Brenaissance will always be special to us. I’d recommend it without hesitation for a wedding or a relaxing stay near Stellenbosch.

The evenings were lovely, with owls to watch and frogs making little concerts in the ponds. The whole place is green, quiet and surrounded by nature and animals, so it felt peaceful day and night. The staff were kind and happy to help with any problem or request. We felt welcome and relaxed, and would definitely return.

The River Deck was a great spot for our first evening. The team helped us get everything set up ahead of time and had the braai's ready for our family party. We also loved starting the mornings with breakfast by the pool. Our December family reunion at Brenaissance was the highlight of the festive season. The property is gorgeous, and Rene and her team made it even better with attentive, warm service. Their genuine care left us refreshed and grateful for the welcome. We can’t recommend Brenaissance highly enough.

The suite was spacious, spotless and almost flawless, and I especially loved the cosy private corner. Housekeeping came daily. We stayed nearly a week at Brenaissance Wine & Stud Estate and were very happy with it. I’d worried about reviews mentioning noisy weddings, but we didn’t hear a thing during our stay, so if that’s a concern, I wouldn’t hesitate to book. The staff were all lovely, and breakfast was tasty. The menu could use more variety, though, as the food and drinks began to feel repetitive after several days. There’s no restaurant or café on site. We used Uber Eats, including a great Greek place, or took a taxi into town, about 10 minutes away. The walk from the estate to the city is a bit dull, so I wouldn’t recommend going on foot. A peaceful, high quality place to get away.

We arranged a few surprises for family members arriving to check in, and the staff helped us coordinate everything so their welcome felt really special. Everyone was friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Brenaissance in Stellenbosch has a beautiful setting, and the hospitality made our family stay amazing. I highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely return.
