Kambro Kind

Kambro Kind Guest House is right in town, near all the amenities. We could just cross the road for dinner at Blue Moon Restuarant. The place was comfortable and had a lovely atmosphere, with admirable attention to detail, and it was well equipped for Sutherland's cold days and nights. From when I booked through to our arrival, Juanita's warm hospitality made us feel welcome. She even helped us after hours with the stargazing experience. It really felt like a home away from home. The owner is a committed local with deep roots, and she was gracious and helpful. There are only a small number of units, but our room was spacious. We enjoyed the cozy communal area and its fireplace, especially with our good friends in the rooms next door. Lovely place, and our only disappointment was not staying longer.

The accommodation itself was nice and everything else was good, but the lodge owner had no manners. At 16:00 we were rudely told to speak more softly and turn down our music. She even called the police. We were a group that wasn't even loud, all of us over 50.

The host was so nice and helpful, and we loved our stay at this lovely guest house. Breakfast and other meals aren't offered, but there are some lovely places on the same street to eat. The bed was super comfy. If you're in Sutherland, you must book here. We'll definitely be back!
