Marataba Mountain Lodge

Chanelle, our safari guide, was wonderfully caring about what we wanted and needed, and she knew so much. The facilities were fabulous, the food was superb, and the staff were excellent. My wife and I had an exceptional stay at the Mountain Lodge. We highly recommend it.

Ayanda always greeted us warmly when we returned and made sure we had what we needed. Kabelo's thoughtful, attentive care also made a real difference. Prudence's food was a highlight throughout our stay, every meal was exceptional. Everything here felt special, and we'd absolutely love to come back.

Those views from bed in our mountain lodge cabin were surreal, and the dinners by the fire were so intimate. After safari, we'd come back to warm, welcoming breakfasts and mimosas. The drives brought one magical moment after another, often enough to bring tears to my eyes. Marataba turned our dream into reality, with a breathtaking setting that exceeded what we expected. Thank you to Vusi, Wonder, Thabang, and Kay (chef) for making this once in a lifetime trip everything we hoped for. We have memories to treasure for a lifetime.

Chanel, our Ranger, was amazing and knew the bush so well. She made the safari memorable. Vusi and the mountain lodge team deserve a mention too. An outstanding experience, and five stars from me.
