The guides were friendly, informative, and clearly knew the animals and the area well. We saw all the Big Five, which was fantastic, and there’s a nice surprise during the safari too. Reception and the food at the sunset safari were very good. I’d recommend doing both the morning and sunset trips, since you see wildlife in different habitats. Well worth a visit.

The Sunset Safari was incredible. It felt safe, professional, fun, and special. We stopped for refreshments at a spot with stunning views, and the restrooms were clean. 🥰

The day was really well arranged and definitely worth visiting, especially since it’s not far from Cape Town. We started with welcome drinks and an amazing breakfast, then had a lovely tour where it was easy to see all the animals from the jeep. Seeing the Big Five was the highlight. Back at the lodge, I went for a swim in the stunning pool before a tasty lunch.

If you’re near Cape Town and don’t have time to travel to the big parks and reserves like Kruger, this is a very good safari option. I recommend the day package, it’s good value. The lodge where meals are served was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. We saw a tremendous number of animals during our afternoon safari, almost all of the Big Five. I was lucky to see so much.

Not recommended, mass tourism. We met at 3pm for the sunset tour, and everything felt a bit disorganized. First you register or get a welcome drink, which was cheap sparkling wine, then the so-called lunch: a buffet of sandwiches, spring rolls, and two desserts, that’s all. Other drinks had to be paid for right away. Then more waiting. At 4:25pm we boarded one of 12 open wagons, each holding 30 people. More waiting before departure. We first saw a giraffe eating hay hung in a tree for it, then a couple of hippos and four elephants at a pond. We rushed through the landscape to see some buffalo and four rhinos, then the lions, kept behind an electric fence and very well behaved. It felt like a zoo park. After that we hurried to a rest area, where all the wagons unloaded. There was some biltong, nuts, and a drink, then it was time to drive back to the starting point, passing a few bockies quickly on the way. Never again.
