Loganda Karoo Lodge

The rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable. My street-facing room did pick up some noise, since the lodge is across from a garage, though it didn’t bother me much. The building is visibly old, but it’s well maintained and I liked the old-world touches in the room. The accommodation is basic, with what you need for a comfortable stay. Downstairs, the lounge and bar are airy and spacious, a nice place for a relaxing drink in the afternoon or evening. Guests can also use the braai area and pool.

Very disappointing stay. The host seemed unsure which room to give us, and we were told there were only single beds. One bed was broken and kept shifting; the other had filthy bedding, and the air conditioner didn’t work. The bath was very close to the toilet, which was a problem since my husband is handicapped. Afterwards we were told plenty of other decent rooms were available. What a disgrace.

A lovely place to relax. The kids can swim while you unwind.

The rooms are self-catering, but there’s no microwave or fridge.
