We paid a lot and expected more from a Sun International property. Room 2054 smelled noticeably of mold and cigarettes, and its air-conditioning filters seemed poorly maintained, circulating dust, mold, and allergens. I developed a sore throat during the stay. We were offered another room, but it was clearly inferior and didn't have the view we wanted, so we stayed put. Several things in the room weren't working properly: the kettle only worked while someone held its button down, the TV was out for most of our stay, and there was no fridge, which was inconvenient. The lodge also felt tired and in need of upgrades and maintenance. Breakfast was mediocre and the service felt unwelcoming, as if staff were annoyed to have guests. I waited for clean plates and hot drinks, the egg station struggled to make an egg well done, and tea arrived at our table without cups. The chicken viennas were overly salty. The bar shuts at 8pm, which seems early for a leisure destination, and there's no indoor route straight to the casino, so guests have to walk outside. For the price and Sun International's reputation, the standards fell short. I'd appreciate a response that isn't automated.

The location works well if you want to be near the casino and have easy highway access. But the stay wasn't worth the money. The breakfast was basic and poor quality, and the rooms need a bar fridge. Carpets were old and stained, bathroom taps were old with rust stains, and the furniture was old too. As a platinum Mvg, I can request early check-in, but the hotel wouldn't allow it despite my many calls. When we arrived, we were told none of the room aircons were working. Reception staff had a rude attitude. We stayed here from 12 to 15 June 2026.

Waking up to a view of the pool was incredible, and the location is the best. The place and rooms were clean, and breakfast was delicious. I also loved the sleeping couch, it makes all the difference. The reception was good and the stay was good. The rooms could use a modern revamp with paint and rugs, plus a small fridge and microwave. Go out there and enjoy yourse

The location is handy, close to Sibaya's entertainment and dining areas, and the relaxed setting works for a short visit or a longer stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the lodge was well maintained. Service was a real plus. Staff were courteous, helpful, and professional from check-in to departure, making the stay pleasant and comfortable.

The casino needs more staff. There are long queues, yet every service point has just one person on duty, and you can never find anyone when you need help. The bar is the worst, it's often left unattended!
