The hosts were thoughtful throughout, and everything felt easy and stress-free. Shaka’s Rock Chalets was spotless, spacious and nicely kept, with a calm, welcoming feel and a good mix of comfort and coastal charm. You’re minutes from the beach and near restaurants and shops, but the surroundings are still peaceful. The views made it feel like a proper holiday escape. I left feeling refreshed and happy, and already wanting to book another stay. I’d highly recommend Shaka’s Rock Chalets for a relaxing getaway in Ballito. A true gem! 💛✨

There wasn’t even a security number available anywhere, and no one stepped in when a group of drunk guests was allowed back onto the property at 2:15 a.m. They sang and shouted for quite a while, waking us up and ruining our last night. For somewhere meant to be quiet and relaxing, that was really disappointing. Management needs better late-night security and stricter noise control. GET BETTER SECURITY

It’s clean, tidy and well secured, with beautiful views and a great host. The beach is within walking distance, and there are lots of places to eat nearby. Family friendly too.

I was meant to head home tomorrow, but I’ve extended my stay until Monday. The place is enjoyable and really neat, and the WiFi signal is excellent.
