Cabana Beach Resort

Waking up to the sound of the waves was the best part. The view was amazing, and the beach is only a five minute walk away. There are separate pools for families and adults, entertainment each night, and helpful, friendly staff. Restaurants are nearby, and Oceans Mall is close enough to walk to.

We’ve been coming to this resort for years, and even a lot of the staff know us well. Cabana is still the best place to visit on the North Coast, and we usually stay for a week or longer. This time we only booked five days and arrived just after 1400 hours on the 2nd June. There was no reception, which felt strange. We normally get greeted by Ian and the Team, with cocktails and popcorn at the entrance. I’m left wondering what went wrong, and whether it was because we weren’t staying at least seven days. Four stars this time.

It feels like being in another world here. Everything is amazing and well maintained, the facilities are top notch, and the staff are friendly. Only downside is how quickly it books up 😔

The kids would be kept busy with activities all day, and it’s a really child friendly place. For self catering, they provide the essentials for cooking, so you just bring the food, and there’s free ice too. The Mall is right across the road, which is a big plus. We had a mini concert, the Rider Restaurant had amazing food, and the room was spotless after the friendly staff cleaned it. It’s a great place to properly relax. My one issue was having to go up and down to use the smoking pods. I understand no smoking in rooms, since I don’t smoke in my own house either, but I wish they allowed it on the balcony. It was annoying to keep walking, and they should cater to smokers as well as non smokers. I’ll definitely come back to Cubana Resort, it’s magnificent.
