The consistency is what stood out on our return to the Skye Hotel. It was just as enjoyable as the first time, and the standards have held up. Mr. Dennis was especially helpful, going above and beyond, while the staff were welcoming and professional throughout. Umhlanga was a convenient base for both work and leisure. The restaurants and rooftop terrace gave the hotel a stylish feel, and our modern, spacious room was spotless and comfortable, with great sleep quality. I’d happily recommend the Skye Hotel for a dependable, high quality stay.

Room service was delicious, and the location was great. My room was clean and beautiful, thanks to the cleaning staff. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and professional. The finishes and overall look of the hotel made me feel like royalty. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

The food was the best I’ve had at a conference venue, especially the top notch Lamb Breyani. The conference facilities were good, though I was disappointed that audio and a mic cost extra. Reuben and Linda did a fabulous job setting up the venue, with impeccable attention to detail.

Food and service were both great, and the massage parlour downstairs is the best massage joint in Durban, by the way. The hotel is clean and safe, tucked just behind BMW between Gateway and Oceans, which is handy. The upstairs pool was being serviced while we were there, and the rooftop restaurant was closed, but no biggie. I do wish there were a road from the hotel to Umhlanga Rocks Dr, though. Having to drive all the way around is a bit of a hassle, lol.

The only real hassle was finding the way out of the parking area. The green exit sign is just an A4 sheet and needs to be more noticeable. Otherwise, this was a great place for a relaxing break or a work stay. The rooms were clean and tidy, with useful things like an iron and board, hair dryer, safe, and bathroom amenities. Staff were helpful throughout, and we enjoyed the varied, delicious breakfast buffet with great service. The swimming pool area was lovely and very relaxing, with a great view.
