The room was spotless, with a great bed and a door onto a big shared patio furnished with a table and chairs. We were there just one night on our first visit to Umhlanga, and would happily come back. The place is a large house converted into a B&B, looked after with care by a lovely owner. Breakfast was wonderful, the pool area was pleasant, and security felt good. It’s about a seven-minute drive to the seafront.

The landlady was kind and flexible when a booking issue came up, and the women working there were lovely too. We spent our last two days in South Africa here while visiting from the UK. It’s well placed for an easy walk to the beach, and the service was amazing. I’d gladly stay again and highly recommend it. Thank you!

The place has a real family-home feel, and the rooms are quaint, but we had everything we needed: strong water pressure, a clean room, a coffee station, air conditioning, and breakfast. My girlfriend doesn’t like oil, and they made sure her food was suitable without us even having to ask. The rates are more than fair, and the care from the owner and her small, happy team really comes through. She’s a single mother supporting her disabled son as well as her staff. It’s that warmth, when you arrive and when you leave, that matters most to me. We won’t stay anywhere else in future.

Really good service, polite staff, and a tasty breakfast. A nice B&B and a good stay, thanks.
