Radisson Blu Hotel, Durban Umhlanga

Our guests loved the delicious food and its presentation, and the team kept the gala dinner running smoothly and efficiently. A special thanks to Event Manager Siphelele Mehlo for all the extra care and support that made the evening a success. We hosted our corporate gala at Radisson Blu Hotel, and the planning and execution were handled professionally, with great attention to detail. We'd gladly recommend it for corporate events and hope to host more there.

The location is great, and the staff are exceptionally friendly, especially the lobby and welcome team. Belinda at reception is a gem, Senele took great photos for us, and the security guards are always smiling. The rooms are a bit small and could have been cleaner. The shower was messy, and looking out at construction wasn't much fun. There was some noise in the passageways, though I can't really blame the hotel for that.

The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and served promptly, and the whole event came together smoothly. For my father's 80th birthday, Rahieza and her team paid attention to our cultural and personal preferences and handled every detail with care. Snothile assisted, and Rahieza delivered on her promise of a special experience. The fourth-floor conference and events venue was spacious and elegant, with chandeliers and wide screens that worked well for the entertainment. Everyone, from the setup team to the waitstaff and the technician handling the audiovisuals, did their part. We're grateful to Rahieza and her team for making the celebration everything we'd hoped for and more.

The sea views and location were lovely, and the stay felt luxurious while still being very affordable. The team were wonderful from the security entrance and welcome staff to reception. Tatum, the Manager on Duty, went out of her way to make our Valentines/Anniversary stay special. We were impressed and grateful for the proudly South African hospitality!
