The apartment could do with refurbishment, so don't expect a luxury finish. It is basic, clean, and fairly comfortable, and good value for a weekend or midweek break. It's quiet too, except for the yapping dog next door, which I really hate. For divers, the two-bedroom place is handy, with three dive charters just 1-2 blocks away within walking distance. There's a pub on the way home, and Umkomaas Golf club is even closer, with some of the South Coast's most scenic holes. Umkomaas beach is about a 10-minute walk, though the uphill walk home is good exercise after a lazy day. Vicky was great and friendly, and shared lots of information about where to go and what to do. There are two extra single beds in the lounge, but only one bathroom, so it could get crowded.

Vicky was very friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The unit was clean when we arrived and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. It delivers what it promises. As parents of an almost two-year-old, we found the upstairs apartment isn't child-friendly, with no pool or real garden for kids to play in. But the drive to the beach for a swim doesn't take much time, so it was worth it. If you're staying here, do your shopping at Scottsburrough PNP. The Spar about a block away was overcrowded and disappointing.

We left on Saturday instead of Sunday because we were at our wits' end without a working fridge, and we weren't given a refund. In December's heat, the fridge was heating instead of cooling, so our food spoiled and the cold drinks were warm. When we arrived, they were still cleaning. The sleeper couch in the lounge smelled terrible and spoiled our mood and appetite. On Saturday morning I was first to take a bath, and found a worm in the tub. I screamed and woke everyone, until my husband came to remove it. The place wasn't clean enough for a guest house. When we asked why, we were told there was no helper available. At first glance Vickys looks inviting, but once you get inside and settle in, the problems show. This is not five-star, not even one-star. It needs a revamp and a refund. I'm a disgruntled customer, please call me for more info. The other reviews are either fake or paid, in my view. Go see for yourself and check it out first. Worst experience ever.
