We were comfortable on the couches, with our newborn lying there, when management told us we couldn't eat there and moved us to tables. We had to put the baby in his car seat on the table where we were eating, and we were really unhappy and uncomfortable. Grandma couldn't stay seated long enough to enjoy her meal either. There were no signs saying eating on the couches wasn't allowed. I hope this wasn't a racial issue.

Breakfast was excellent, and the host was lovely with great service. The rooms have been completely redone, and ours was spacious, with a large bathroom too. The WiFi didn't seem to work, and there was no air conditioning, though the ceiling fan helped a lot.

We had a great time at The Hof and I'd happily come back. The German character, charm, and care in the details really made the place stand out. Both the food and our rooms were much better than you'd expect for the price, and still very reasonably priced. It's tucked away in the middle of nowhere, but I can see it working well as a halfway stop for car or bike clubs, or as a breakfast run destination. A real hidden gem, highly recommend it.

The food and service were great, and I loved how much passion and effort they put into making the place wonderful. I'm looking forward to seeing the decor become a little more German! 😘
