Abrie took us on game drives and showed us some amazing views, and Cornelius was spectacular about making vegan meals for me. We were a small group celebrating my mom’s birthday and arranged the travel through Go Touch Down. Carmen, the manager, was a great host and helped whenever we asked. Everyone on staff was professional, friendly, accommodating, and just amazing. It was a beautiful experience, and I can’t wait to visit again someday.

The trips were extremely disappointing and ridiculously overpriced. We took a Big Five drive and didn’t see any of the Big Five, then paid just as much for a boat trip to see hippos and crocodiles and saw none of those either. I wouldn’t recommend it. We stayed at Dinkweng Safari Lodge, which isn’t a Big Five lodge, and saw more animals there. The experience was much nicer and cost a quarter of what Kaingo charged.

The guides, especially Jolandi, made our time unforgettable. Her deep knowledge of the bush and its incredible life took the experience to another level. We saw all the Big Five, and the lush accommodations and fine food made Kaingo feel like a dream oasis. A must see on a South African trip.

We found Kaingo to be good value, with meals included in our package. The food was good, though I think the buffet could use better options and larger quantities. The private accommodation was clean and spacious, and the game drives were both fun and informative. After six months of Covid19 lockdown, it was a lovely short family getaway from Joburg. The staff were fantastic, friendly, and welcoming. It’s family friendly, and the lodge is surrounded by natural beauty.

The reserve is stunning, and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The manager and guide knew an incredible amount about the animals, plants, and the area. Their passion for wildlife conservation was inspiring and contagious. Thanks for a wonderful holiday. I highly recommend this reserve.
