Royal Morubisi Lodge has peaceful gardens, walking paths, lovely privacy, and a design that fits into the bushveld. It’s quiet luxury, thoughtfully done rather than flashy. We enjoyed relaxing on the verandas, listening to the bush, and having good food by a warm fire. The staff, from the rangers to the kitchen and housekeeping teams, were warm and attentive. They share stories and make you feel at home. Josphat was amazing, ask for him! Meals were fresh and flavorful, with local ingredients, and the boma dinner under the open sky was a highlight. Our Luxury Suite had lots of room, tasteful themed decor, and the comforts you’d hope for. The private terrace and shaded garden felt like a little sanctuary. Morning and sunset drives gave us the chance to see the Big Five, along with antelope, giraffe, zebra, and plenty of birds. The river views added to it all. Set in the malaria-free Kaingo Private Game Reserve in the Waterberg region, Royal Morubisi Lodge brings together wild scenery, comfort, and genuine hospitality. If you want to connect with nature and enjoy excellent service without ultra-high rates or pretension, it’s a terrific choice. I’d gladly return, and recommend it to both seasoned safari fans and first-time bush travelers.

The setting is absolutely beautiful, and everyone knew my name as soon as I arrived. The rooms, food, game drives, and staff were all first class. Some of the most personal service I’ve ever received.

We enjoyed the game drives and boat ride, and the Ranger was excellent. The Leopards House was great, as were the gardens, boma, and dining area. The Lodge gave my family and me a wonderful getaway, with a welcoming feel and friendly, excellent staff. A big thank you to Carmen, Abrie, Cornelius, and the kitchen team.

The River Lodge rooms are stunning, the staff were amazing, and Cornelius’s food every day was out of this world. Yolande was wonderful on the game drives and while fishing, she really knows her stuff! I’d booked Founders after looking at photos of the River Lodge, not realizing they were two different lodges. When I explained the mix-up at check-in, they quickly worked something out and moved us to the River Lodge. Thank you, Marijke! We’ll be back soon.

We saw the Big Five on our game drives, then stopped for sundowners overlooking a canyon. What a breathtaking experience. Royal Morubisi has the most beautiful landscapes and views we’ve ever seen. The rooms were exquisite, the food left us wanting more, and the friendly staff made us feel so welcome. Just wow!
