Villa Brocant Guest house

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean, though there was no liquid soap in the dispensers. The shower door was broken, and none of the lamps in the second room could be plugged in. Trucks on the main road made noise nonstop, even at 3am. For the price, that was disappointing.

The WiFi was very poor, which was disappointing. Check-in and check-out were also a hassle: I had to leave the car in the street to collect the keys from reception, then go back and park inside. In the morning, I drove out with the keys, parked outside again, buzzed to have the reception gate opened, and left the keys there since there was no dropbox. Villa Brocant Guesthouse has a lovely oriental feel, and I appreciated the clean rooms and fresh linen. The carpets could have been cleaner, though, and the shower shampoo bottle was empty. A few improvements to cleanliness, amenities, and convenience would make the stay smoother.

The food was horrible, the room smelled awful, and the furniture was broken. It was noisy too, and the manager was rude. I'm giving it one star only because there's no zero option. I wouldn't recommend visiting.

This was my second visit, and neither stay was a good experience. The first time, I waited an hour to check in and the ladies didn't look welcoming. Last night, there was no blanket in my room, no electric blanket, and I couldn't tell if the aircon worked. I called the slender girl at reception because I was too cold to sleep, but she said reception was closed. How can a room be left without what a guest might need, and then take less than ten minutes to bring a blanket when asked? What happens if a guest has an emergency at night? Reception closes at 8/9, so who is there to help?
