Doonside Holiday Apartments

The hosts were very helpful. It’s old, but still comfortable. There are so many stairs, though, so it’s not suitable for people with disabilities.

The location is nice, with a walk to the beach, and the staff were helpful and willing to learn. Still, I don’t think the bottom apartments are safe. Two strangers came inside while my children were alone, and security needs to improve. Over our two full weeks, my bedding was changed only once. The bedroom cushions were removed, the good bedding was taken away, and the second set of towels we received was very old and worn. I think the staff also have to deal with visitors who are a nuisance.

It’s close to the beach, and nearly every room had a sea view. The beach is quiet and has lifeguards, which made swimming feel safe. There’s also a large shopping mall nearby for rainy days. Everything was very clean and available on the premises, and we had a lovely, relaxing stay. We’ll definitely visit again and recommend it for a beach holiday.

The location is great, and the sea is just five minutes away, making it perfect for a late night walk. The place is okay, but could use an upgrade. The bathroom taps leak, and the shower door doesn’t shut fully, so water spills out onto the floor. Having to mop while on holiday isn’t fun.
