After a long, hot day on the road, the pool felt like a real oasis. I was there on a business trip and Nerica, the hostess, made me feel so welcome and paid attention to every detail. Dinner was five-star. I’ll definitely come back with my family.

The only thing we found a little lacking was the water pressure and how warm the water got, though that may be a small quibble. We had a lovely stay at country lane lodge and expect to return. Being on a working farm was a fun part of the experience. The lodge is attractive, private and secure, with clean, roomy rooms and everything we needed, including coffee, a kettle, a fridge, Aircon and DSTV. Breakfasts were very generous, and we loved the farm-fresh eggs. We’re small eaters, so we felt a bit guilty sending unfinished food back. The pool was very welcome too. It was a bit out of the way for our plans in Nelspruit, but the drive to the Lodge was easy enough.

This place has such a lovely feel. I could be by myself, enjoy the quiet and feel close to nature. It’s on a macadamia farm, so there’s a short stretch of sandy road to get in, but that really didn’t bother me. Just right for a peaceful weekend away. I’ll be back ❤️

The peaceful setting starts with the drive past the macadamia trees, and there’s a lovely garden around the lodge. We felt at home thanks to the really friendly, welcoming staff. Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices too. We had a wonderful stay at Country Lane Lodge and would happily recommend it.

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of choices and fresh local ingredients. The staff were so welcoming and made us feel at home. Our room was clean, cozy and well equipped, and the lodge’s garden setting was a peaceful break from everyday life. Country Lane Lodge in White River has a lot of charm and comfort. A lovely place to stay, whether for a short getaway or longer visit.
