The chalet was spacious, with comfortable beds and crisp white linen. The views of the town and sea are incredible, and you can see them from every window. Our only problem was that we stayed far too briefly. We were welcomed warmly and communication was professional throughout. Restaurants are all excellent and within walking distance. If you’d rather cook, everything you need is there. It’s a vibrant, beautiful town for a holiday, with plenty of activities and stunning nature spots. Reception gave us a map and list of activities when we arrived.

The sea view from our room was fantastic, and the lodge itself is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The owner was very friendly and ready to help with any questions. We’d happily come back.

The views kept taking our breath away, whether we were watching the sunrise or sunset. We stayed in chalet #5, reached by a lovely climb up 150 steps. The chalet was clean and tidied every day, and there was hot water even during load shedding. It had what we needed to relax. Thanks for the wonderful service, we’d absolutely recommend it.

Boardwalk Lodge would be a lovely place to stay while visiting Wilderness. Its cottages sit among greenery on a slight rise, with the beach only a few minutes away on foot. They’re spacious and have everything needed for a comfortable visit. Wooden stairs connect the main areas, including the charming breakfast room. Chris and Melissa have made a real gem here, and we’ll return next time we’re in Wilderness. Eva and Marc

The view from the deck made sitting back with a drink a real pleasure, and I’d stay here again. Just be ready for plenty of stairs, though the view is worth the climb. The kitchen could use a proper cutting board, and I found a dirty coffee mug in the cupboard. Those were minor issues. A coffee machine would be nice too, but the French press did the job. The bellhop was friendly and helpful.
